Youth wearing Green Bear jerseys or shirts get free admission (with a paid adult). Meet up at the field gate in the high school parking lot at 6:15 p.m. to be a part of the spirit tunnel. Quick reminder: parent supervision of younger students is essential to having a safe and enjoyable game for all. |

 | Updates from the Treasurer's Office This week the Board of Education approved the July financial reports and the financial forecast. As a reminder, the Treasurer's webpage has many resident resources including videos explaining school funding and expenses, as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports. View the latest financial reports and all resident resources on the Treasurer's webpage here. |
 | Attendance Reminders Ohio's attendance laws require schools to support struggling attendance rather than suspend or expel students for it. Ohio schools use tools like parent notifications, attendance conferences, and Absence Intervention Plans once a student crosses state-set thresholds. A significant recent change is that schools must track Chronic Absenteeism: the total instructional time a student misses, regardless of reason. This means excused, medical, and unexcused absences all count toward that total, even though schools still distinguish excused from unexcused absences for other purposes, like truancy. Read more here. A reminder to always email the office when your student will miss class time. jhhsattendance@ohschools.org ohesattendance@ohschools.org (and copy the student's homeroom teacher) |
