Making a Splash at State Our high school swim and dive team competed at the state competition this week. Divers Jack Johnson and Camille Weaver made their mark with a strong showing against the best in Ohio, both placing 28th in their events. Audrey Nixon finished 22nd in the 500-yard freestyle and 30th in the 200-yard freestyle. The 400-yard freestyle relay (Audrey Nixon, Rafaela Marson, Mary Lathrop, and Ella Majerski) finished 20th. Swimming tonight: Rafaela in the 100-yard breaststroke and Thomas Lathrop in the 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle. Both qualified for tonight's finals by finishing in the top-8 in last night's prelims. Races begin at 5 p.m. tonight in Canton. Follow the results all Green Bear Athletics on Instagram @ohls_greenbears, on Facebook @Ottawa Hills Green Bears, or on X @Ottawa Hills Green Bears. System Update: Headed to States! Congratulations to the three Ottawa Hills robotics teams advancing to the state competition next week! Seven students will represent the Green Bears, including Team Havoc members: Adam Ayan, Peyton Ree and Max Bigioni (pictured), as well as Bismann Singh, Liam Jones, Dominic Timmers and Graydon C. Our engineers have programmed, built and battled their way to the top. Good luck at state! Follow the teams' triumphs and tribulations on Facebook @Ottawa Hills Jr/Sr High STEM or Instagram @oh_stem. |

 | MSA Hosting Community Iftar The Muslim Student Association invites you to join us for a Community Iftar on Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. (dinner served at sunset) in the elementary new gym. Ramadan is a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide, marked by fasting from dawn until sunset, prayer, reflection and acts of service. Each evening, the fast is broken with a meal called iftar, traditionally shared with family, friends and community. Whether you observe Ramadan or simply wish to learn more and connect with students and neighbors, all are welcome. Join us to celebrate the values of gratitude, compassion and connection. The MSA asks families to RSVP by March 3. |

- Wheels: always face road signs (bikes, scooters, cars... any wheels)
Join the Village Stroll Walkers, dogs, strollers, all are welcome to meet at the high school flagpole on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. for a 1-mile family walk. Don't forget to dress to be seen with reflective gear and lights! |
