Student Council Collects a Record Number of Cans!

Our OHES Student Council, led by 4th grade lead teacher Grainne Kulka, organized and promoted the most successful canned food drive in OHES history! Our Green Bears and families donated 2,746 cans, earning our students both an extra recess and extra screen time. What is even more rewarding is that this will help hundreds of families in need.

5th Graders Awarded "Most Creative Presentation"

Last Wednesday, a group of fifth-grade students representing Ottawa Hills Elementary School presented at the Student Watershed Summit at the Toledo Zoo. The group, led by Lianne Genzman, was one of 7 schools to present their findings of the overall health of their local waterway. OHES students did a wonderful job representing our school and the Ottawa River, and took home the top prize in the Presentation Category. Congratulations to all of the fifth graders that were involved!
