 | Supervision at Football Games As we continue through football season, we want to remind families that all elementary students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when attending home football games, as stated in the elementary parent handbook. District staff do not monitor students outside the stadium gates during games. We encourage all students to enjoy the game by cheering on our Green Bears from the bleachers with their families. Ottawa Hills Police Department officers are present at all home games to address any concerns. Students and community members can also use our "See Something, Say Something" Safe Schools Reporting resources available on the district website. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our young Green Bears safe at football games. |

Seeing in Shapes: Pen Tool Animal Graphics Check out the Graphic Design display outside the multi-purpose room! For their first project, students in Caitlin Shawaker’s Graphic Design Classes, students identified and practiced using the most functional Illustrator Tool, the Pen Tool. They chose an animal photograph and reinterpreted it in a simplified form, by outlining dark and light values with the pen tool and filling the shapes in with at least 5 values of the same color. Using the Pen Tool takes a lot of observational and fine motor skills. Look closely at the display to see how carefully each shape is outlined! |
