Last newsletter for the 2023-2024 school year

Commencement

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. Doors to the stadium will open at 5 p.m. The program will include addresses by students, Principal Ben McMurray, Superintendent Adam Fineske, and a presentation of the class gift. There is no limit to the number of people allowed to attend graduation and the public is welcome to attend. Seniors and family members are asked to park one car per graduate at the elementary school beginning in the circle in preparation for the parade. Seating at both the field and the bleachers are handicap accessible and wheelchair friendly.

Parade

Following commencement, a police escorted parade of cars will travel throughout the Village where spectators can congratulate the Class of 2024. See the parade route.

A fun-filled field day

This morning elementary students celebrated the last day of school wearing team colors for a fun-filled field day.

End of school year reminders

Last day of school early release Thursday, May 30. K-6 released at noon. 7-12 released at 2 p.m.
Medication pick-up reminder: All prescribed and all over the counter medication must be picked by a parent/guardian up from the Health office by Wednesday, June 5th. Contact Nurse Baird with any questions. Any medication that has not been picked up by this date will be disposed of.
Lost & Found items at both buildings must be picked up by end of the day Thursday, May 30. All remaining lost & found items will be donated.
Summer learning links coming soon! Summer learning resources will be posted on our website Friday, June 7.
Grades will be available to view for all students in PowerSchool early-mid June.
Back to school communications will be sent around August 1 for the 2024-2025 school year.

OHSPA school supplies fundraiser

Possibly our parents' most favorite fundraiser, the OHSPA school supplies fundraiser, is available for students K-6 for the 2024-2025 school year. Orders due by Sunday, June 9. Order here

Fitness Center summer hours

The Kadens Family Fitness Center will be available to students rising to grades 7-12 this summer Monday-Friday 7-11 a.m. JHHS fitness center coordinator Michael Yuschak or athletic trainer Abby Smith will be in the fitness center during those hours to assist students in their fitness goals over the summer.
