Ohio Cell Phone Updates In May, Ohio House Bill 250 was signed into law which requires all school districts in Ohio to establish official policies governing cell phone usage during school hours. The goal of HB 250 is to minimize student use of cell phones in K-12 schools which reduces cell phone-related distractions in the classrooms. What does this mean for your student? During last school year, the jr/sr high school asked students to put cell phones in a teacher designated place during class. The same policy will continue this school year. There are many positive results from this cell phone policy. We want to continue providing students with a classroom environment where students are more engaged and less distracted. |

| Back to School 5K and Green Bear 1 Miler The annual Back to School 5K run/walk and Green Bear 1 Miler will take place Sunday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 a.m. This event raises funds for After Prom. Packet pick up will take place Friday, Aug. 23 from 5-7 p.m. in the JHHS parking lot; packets will also be available for pick up on the morning of the race prior to start time. Register here.
