Agora November 18-22 Agora is a longstanding tradition that occurs every other year at the junior/senior high school. Named after the Greek marketplace where people would meet to exchange goods and ideas, Agora exists to provide a forum for students to experience ideas outside the traditional classroom. During Agora week, students have opportunities to travel domestically and internationally, on faculty-led educational trips, or participate in experiences that expand the depth and breadth of learning on and near our campus. |

Winter Sports Update Athletic Physicals: All athletes are required to have a current physical on file through Final Forms. In addition, we need both a parent and the student-athlete to sign off on the forms in Final Forms, including information about self-transportation. Transition from Fall to Winter: Those student-athletes that are just concluding a fall season are entitled to a week's break before reporting for the new sport if they are so inclined. This is not mandatory, but the coaches have to permit this if the student-athlete does not want to report to practice immediately after the fall season is over. If there are any issues or questions, please contact Mr. Wronkowicz. Winter Sports Pictures: Winter sports picture day is scheduled Monday, November 25. Coaches will be notified soon with regards to the schedule for the day. Photos can be purchased after photo day using specific codes. Senior Banners: Order forms and money for senior banners are required to be turned in at the time of the photos! Forms can be picked up in the main office. Please make out a check to "Impulse" for $45.00. |

Intentional Acts of Kindness I'm excited to share that Ottawa Hills will be celebrating Intentional Acts of Kindness Week! This week is all about making a positive impact on those around us by taking small, meaningful actions to brighten someone's day. As part of our Intentional Acts of Kindness Day we'll be participating in a hygiene drive to support those in need in our community. Our donations will go to Family House (only family homeless shelter in Toledo), A Domestic Violence Shelter and Cherry Street Mission. Here's how you can help:
- Bring Hygiene Items: We're collecting new and unused items like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion, body spray and feminine hygiene products. Items can be travel or regular size.
- Drop-Off Location: There will be a black basket in the teacher workroom to place items in or to the main office.
Fun Fact : Giving back can significantly benefit your mental health. When you engage in acts of kindness or volunteer your time, it triggers a release of endorphins, often referred to as a "helpers" high. This release can reduce stress, alleviate feelings of anxiety, and even combat symptoms of depression. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together and make a lasting impact. I also encourage all of us to be intentional with our kindness, thoughtfulness and giving back. |

Honoring the Team Behind Friday Night Lights Last Friday was the last football game of the 2024 season. In addition to Coach Carter and his staff, many people make Friday Night Lights possible. We extend our deepest thanks to Athletic Director Ryan Wronkowicz, faculty managers, OH Boosters, OHPD, and our dedicated parent volunteers for managing logistics and concessions. Special thanks to announcer Dick Bing and clock operator Rosemary Bennett for their continued service to our football program. We also appreciate the OHHS Marching Band, Instrumental Music Director Michael Leeds, OHHS Cheerleaders, advisor Nicole Marshall, OH Dance Team, and advisor Sophie Heidenreich. The band, cheerleaders, and dance team helped created a lively, festive, and spirited atmosphere at each of our home games this season. |
