Hello Green Bear Families, It's opening night for The SpongeBob Musical: youth edition! Over 140 talented elementary students in grades 4-6 that have been working tirelessly over the past several weeks with Mrs. Manchur and Mr. Broadway (alongside an army of parent volunteers). Good luck to all! An important reminder that next Friday is a professional development day for teachers and staff and there is no school for students next Friday, Feb. 14. (Valentines Day class parties will be taking place on Thursday, Feb. 13.) Don't forget that the following Monday, Feb. 17, there is no school in observance of Presidents' Day. Have a great weekend, |

| Annual State of the District next Wednesday The annual State of the District is Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the junior/senior high school (2532 Evergreen Rd.). Superintendent Dr. Fineske and Treasurer/CFO Mr. Siloy will provide an update on the district's performance, facilities, and financial state. Student speakers will also share insights on the state of the junior/senior high and elementary schools from their perspective. Open Q&A to follow with district leadership and the Board of Education. |

Additionally, school will be closed on Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents' Day. On the morning of February 14, district teachers and staff will take part in a planned reunification drill. The Ottawa Hills Police Department as well as the Toledo Police and Fire Departments will be present at the junior/senior high school during this time. This drill is an important exercise to ensure our school is prepared to safely evacuate and reunite students with their families in the event of an emergency. |

To keep our students and staff healthy please remember our illness policy: Students should not attend school unless they have been 24 hours free from: Speak to your student about proper hand washing before eating and consider packing hand sanitizer in their backpack and/or lunch bag. You may also encourage your student to clean frequently used items, such as their lunch bag and keyboard, with a Clorox wipe, to help prevent the spread of illnesses. |
