A Beautiful Day for Connection at the Ribbon

On Sunday, students and staff from Scott High School and Ottawa Hills High School gathered at Glass City’s Ribbon for the final Home to Home event of the school year. The day was packed with energy and smiles as students laced up their rollerblades and roller skates, gliding around the Ribbon together. After working up an appetite, everyone gathered to share a delicious lunch provided by The Garden by Pocco Piatti.

The event offered a meaningful space for students to look back on their journey together. Over lunch, participants shared thoughtful reflections, expressions of gratitude, and words of advice for the future, truly embodying the spirit of the program.

An event this wonderful doesn't happen without a dedicated team behind the scenes. A special thank you goes out to David Bush, Nykiaah Wright, Erica Silk, and Joe Peterson for their hard work and dedication in making this event possible. Special thanks to Aundre Graham for safely transporting the group. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Kadens Family Leadership Series, whose generous support makes the Home-to-Home program possible.

The Home 2 Home vision is to build connection, promote curiosity, and discover compassion. Its mission is to gather the Scott High School and the Ottawa Hills High School communities in intentional, safe, and honest platforms focused on fostering relationships, developing leadership, and strengthening understanding. Thank you to everyone who participated this year. Here’s to continuing to build bridges and leadership in our communities.
