 | Rose Gaiffe As we head into another busy and exciting week at school, we want to thank our families for their continued support and partnership. Students have a lot to look forward to in the days ahead! Our Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place throughout the week. This is always a favorite event for students and a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading. We appreciate your support in helping students enjoy this experience. We also have exciting field trips planned for both our 2nd-grade and 5th-grade students. These opportunities provide valuable hands-on learning experiences and create lasting memories for our students. Next week is also the start of the annual 6th-grade ice cream sale fundraiser, where students can purchase one ice cream item during lunch. Teacher Appreciation Week is this coming week. Our staff works incredibly hard each day to support, encourage, and inspire our students, and we are grateful for all they do. We appreciate all that OHSPA has planned to make this a special and memorable week. Thank you for helping make our school community such a positive and supportive place. We look forward to a great week ahead! Elementary Principal rgaiffe@ohschools.org |

A Message from our Counselors: Dear Green Bear Families, As part of our commitment to supporting the whole child, students regularly participate in social-emotional learning lessons led by our school counselors. These lessons build skills like positive relationships, self-regulation, and problem-solving to help maintain a safe and supportive school environment. In May, counselors will also present age-appropriate child safety lessons through the Child Abuse Prevention Program from the Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center of Lucas County. Students will learn about personal safety, including recognizing unsafe situations, understanding safe and unsafe touches, and identifying trusted adults they can talk to. If you prefer that your child not participate, they will be supervised in an alternate setting. If you have questions, please contact Mary Beth Ellison (mellison@ohschools.org) or Elizabeth Syrowski (Proctor) (esyrowski@ohschools.org). An online opt-out form is available HERE |
