Agora connects students to immersive experiences This week the biennial tradition of Agora took place at the Ottawa Hills Junior/Senior High School. 8th graders traveled to Washington, D.C., and 11th and 12th graders had the opportunity to travel to the Bahamas, Costa Rica, France, Italy, and Spain. Junior/Senior high students who remained on campus experienced a week like no other with immersive learning workshops. | And the winner is... Congratulations to TEAM DISNEY for bringing in the most non-perishable items and getting to select the movie for the elementary school before winter break. Team Disney brought in 1659 items and Team Pixar brought in 1219 items for a total of 2878 that will be donated to Our Lady of Lourdes Soup Kitchen. Thank you student council members and staff for organizing this charitable competition. |

| Thank you, Chief This week, the Board of Education presented a special commendation to Chief John Wenzlick in recognition of his 26 years of exemplary service to the Village of Ottawa Hills. He was also awarded a varsity letter by Junior/Senior High Assistant Principal Mrs. George. Board President Ms. Fink expressed gratitude for Chief Wenzlick’s calm and steady leadership of the village and its police department. Chief Wenzlick shared his appreciation for the excellent partnership between his department, Dr. Fineske, and the school district. We extend our best wishes to Chief Wenzlick as he embarks on the next chapter of his life. |
