 | Rose Gaiffe I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to OHSPA, especially Tenley Yark and her Flight Crew, for the extremely successful Green Bear Air Teacher Appreciation Week. We all felt loved, appreciated, and well fed. Thank you for the safe landing back in Paradise! As we head into the second week of May, we are looking forward to one of our favorite school events of the year — the Spring Carnival on Wednesday, May 14. This is always a fun-filled evening for our students and families, and an important fundraiser for OHSPA that allows them to support our school in so many ways. We are excited to come together as a school community to celebrate the end of a busy and successful school year. Thank you to OHSPA members and our custodial crew who have worked so hard to organize this special event. We hope to see you there!! Elementary Principal rgaiffe@ohschools.org |

A Message from our Counselors: Dear Green Bear Families, As part of our commitment to supporting the whole child, students regularly participate in social-emotional learning lessons led by our school counselors. These lessons build skills like positive relationships, self-regulation, and problem-solving to help maintain a safe and supportive school environment. In May, counselors will also present age-appropriate child safety lessons through the Child Abuse Prevention Program from the Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center of Lucas County. Students will learn about personal safety, including recognizing unsafe situations, understanding safe and unsafe touches, and identifying trusted adults they can talk to. If you prefer that your child not participate, they will be supervised in an alternate setting. If you have questions, please contact Mary Beth Ellison (mellison@ohschools.org) or Elizabeth Syrowski (Proctor) (esyrowski@ohschools.org). An online opt-out form is available HERE |
