Good Evening Green Bear Families,
It has been 8 months since I last stepped foot in the building. I’m happy to report that I will be officially stepping back into the building, albeit part-time (for now), as your child’s principal, tomorrow morning.
My daughter, Charley, has come a long way since her AML cancer journey began last May. While she is making progress, she continues to have significant post-transplant complications. She remains under excellent care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
Starting next week, I will be working Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Mrs. Gaiffe will work Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. When things improve with my daughter’s health, I intend to return 3 days a week and eventually full-time as your child’s principal.
Dr. Fineske and the district leadership team will continue providing support to our teachers and staff as Rose and I work together to make sure your children have the best educational experience possible.
Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to the OHES families, staff, and community! I’m truly looking forward to seeing your Green Bears tomorrow! Look for me out at The Circle wearing my vest, directing traffic, and gearing up to welcome your kids for a great day at school!
