| Let's pull together In memory of Dr. Bauer's daughter, Charley, we will be collecting pull tabs from aluminum cans to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Tabs can be collected in any clean container and added to the large orange box near the elementary main office. RMHC is paid by recycling companies for the aluminum and uses the funds to purchase meals for families using their programs. We hope to collect 42 gallons of pull tabs before the end of the school year on May 30. |

| Pedestrian Safety Week is March 10-14 This a great time of year to remind ourselves how to share the roadways safely. - Walk facing traffic; bike and scooter with traffic.
- Cross at crosswalks and always look left, right, and left again.
- Follow road signs when biking or scootering. Equip bikes and scooters with front lights and red rear lights or reflectors.
- Drivers: Stay alert! Avoid distractions like cell phones and earbuds—it’s the law.
- At night, wear bright, reflective clothing and carry a flashlight to stay visible.
All are welcome to join for a village stroll on Tuesday, Mar. 11, at 7 p.m. Walkers, dogs, and strollers are welcome for this one-mile family walk. Meet at the high school flag pole and dress to be seen! Pedestrian Safety Week organizers have collaborated with OHSPA on the annual stroll, which will include scouting troops and Mr. Wells' Safety Patrol. The OH Boosters will sell pizza and goodies before and after. |

| A reminder on electronic and wireless communication devices We have seen an increase in students using Apple Watches and similar wrist devices at school, causing classroom disruptions, including a growing number of calls and texts. Per page 23 of the Board approved Elementary Parent Handbook, all students must store their smart devices in their backpacks or lockers for the duration of the school day. If you need to reach your child during school hours, please contact the main office. The school will not be responsible for any lost or broken devices during the school day. |
