Rose’s Message Dear Families, I would like to extend a big thank you to OHSPA for sponsoring our Art Fair Celebrating the Princess of Polka Dots - Yayoi Kusama, and to all the volunteers who helped make the Art Fair breakfast so special. It was so wonderful seeing our extended school community dressed in polka dots, celebrating the creativity of our students. On another note, we truly appreciate those of you who have taken the time to observe safe driving practices in the carline and consistently use the designated crosswalks when walking students to and from the building. Your commitment to these expectations helps ensure a safer environment for all of our children, staff, and families. When everyone works together, we create a smoother, safer process for the entire school community. Have a great weekend and enjoy the good weather heading our way next week, when we will all be looking forward to outdoor recess! Rose Gaiffe Elementary Principal rgaiffe@ohschools.org

Students observing Ramadan: Ramadan began on February 18 and will end on March 19. Muslim students who are fasting will be provided with alternative activities outside of the lunchroom during lunch. Additionally, our PE teachers will offer flexibility and will not require students to participate in strenuous activities if they are not feeling up to it.

MSA Hosting Community Iftar The Muslim Student Association invites you to join us for a Community Iftar on Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. (dinner served at sunset) in the elementary new gym. Ramadan is a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide, marked by fasting from dawn until sunset, prayer, reflection and acts of service. Each evening, the fast is broken with a meal called iftar, traditionally shared with family, friends and community. Whether you observe Ramadan or simply wish to learn more and connect with students and neighbors, all are welcome. Join us to celebrate the values of gratitude, compassion and connection. The MSA asks families to RSVP by March 3.
